Charles Miracle

His Legacy.... Charles C. "Charlie" Miracle, Sr., age 83 of Caldwell, formerly of Stafford, died at 2:42 pm Saturday (July 21, 2007) at OSU Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was born June 12, 1924 in Monroe County, Ohio a son of the late L. Floyd and Bernice O'dessa Warfield Miracle. Charlie served and protected his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a 1944 graduate of Stafford High School and a former employee of the Timken Corp. of Canton. He retired from the Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18 following 21 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Franklin Township as a grader operator. He was a member of the Stafford Lodge #300 F. & A.M. His Family... He is survived by his Wife of 56 years, Leona B. Smith Miracle of the home, whom he married Jan. 27, 1951; Two Daughters Phyllis (Mike) Barnhouse and Janice (Tim) Bond of Pleasant City; Son Charles, Jr. "Chuck" Miracle of Stafford; Two Grandchildren Marsha (Tom) Anderson of North Carolina and Christopher Barnhouse of Byesville; Brother Elvin (Mary) Miracle of Marietta, Sister Roma Jean (Glen) Beebe of Cheshire, OH, Two Sisters-In-Law Ruth (Dean) Griffith of Columbus and Carolyn Porter of Barnesville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother F. Norval Miracle and a sister Thelma Hogue. His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Tuesday (July 24, 2007) from 2 to 9 pm, with the family present from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724 where Stafford Lodge #300 F. & A.M. will conduct services Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Stafford where Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
