Carlton Darrel Forshey

Carlton Darrel Forshey, 44, of Palatka, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home. He was born, Friday, October 18th, 1968 in Marietta, OH, a son of Carl David and Sue Hendershot Forshey of Green Cove Springs, FL.

He was a native of Caldwell, OH where he lived for 18 years. He was a 1987 graduate of Shenandoah High School, where he played basketball and was a member of the FFA.

After graduation, he moved to Palatka, Florida where he met and married his wife of 24 years, Evon Clift Forshey. Darrel attended Bostwick Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and really loved his work as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was loved and will be missed by his family, wife Evon Clift Forshey, of the home, whom he married June 15, 1989, a son Joseph (Kassie) Forshey of Palatka, a daughter Brittany Forshey of Palatka, 2 beautiful grandchildren he loved and adored, Lola and Evie Forshey, 4 sisters Carla (Lawrence) Cook of Middleburg, FL, Shila (Kevin) Stephen of Caldwell , Shari (David) Gann of Green Cove Springs, Stacy (Bob) Guy of Batesville, OH, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Glenda Clift of Palatka and a brother-in-law, Robert (Tracy) Clift of Palatka. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Friday July 5th, 2013 from 4:00 PM until the service time at 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street Caldwell, OH 43724, with a memorial service to be held at 6:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tim Valentine officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah FFA in c/o The Farmers and Merchants Bank, 430 North Street Caldwell. Ohio.
