Betty Zane Stallings

Betty Zane Stevens Stallings, age 81, of Caldwell, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, OH. She was born March 9, 1928 in Noble County, OH, the daughter of the late Austin Stevens a teacher and Laura Roe Stevens a homemaker. Betty was a farmer as well as a beloved wife and mother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and long time educator, Ervin E. Stallings who passed away March 19, 1990; a Son Randy Stallings; a Sister Frances Harding Hague; Two Brothers Meredith and Mardis Stevens. She is survived by Daughter Cynthia Stallings of the home, a Sister Orvetta Carpenter of Cambridge; Sister-In-Law Mary Stevens of Newark, OH. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield with Frank Love Officiating. Burial will follow. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
