Betty J. Baker

Betty J. Baker, age 80 of Belle Valley, OH passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab. She was born December 22, 1935 a daughter of the late Harry M. and Bertha McKitrick Dye.

Betty was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo in her free time. For many years she could be found camping with her husband Art. One of the greatest joys of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William A. "Art" Baker, whom she married Dec. 29, 1954 and who passed away June 19, 2007 and a granddaughter Tanya Lockhart.

Those left to cherish her memory, are 2 sons: Richard (Sheila) Baker of Belle Valley, William A. Baker Jr. of Belle Valley; 1 daughter: Marilyn (Tom) Morrison of Carlisle, 10 grandchildren Melissa (Michael) Mack, Tony (Jill) Baker, Jessica (Mike Spellman) Morrison, Will (Mandy) Baker, Troy (Lindsay) Baker, Jerad Morrison, Tara (Kurtis) Nalley, Tommy (Beth) Morrison, Tracy Morrison, and Tina (Tyler) Witham; several great-grandchildren; 4 brothers Robert H. Dye of New Matamoras, OH, Claude E. Dye of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; George J. (Patty) Dye of Marietta, OH, and Roger L. (Frances) Dye of Marietta. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 25, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 12:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hoskinsville Cemetery near Belle Valley.
