Life Legacy
Annie Faye Selph, age 71 of Marietta, OH passed away Monday January 16, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. Annie was born November 18, 1940 in Wheeler County, GA; she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtice Brown of Alamo, GA.
Annie was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed gathering with her church family for worship and activities on a regular basis. Annie was a homemaker, a mother, and a grandmother; she loved spending time with her family and her close friends.
In 2006, Annie moved to Philippi, West Virginia where she spent her most recent years enjoying life with her many friends at the Baughman Towers. There she participated in countless activities such as tenant celebrations, holiday events, cake walks, and bingo. Annie was also on the tenant council and even served as president for a time.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband W.C. Locke, with whom she spent many happy years living in the Alamo-McRae, GA area; Sisters Nora Rauch and Sue Browning, Brothers Willie Brown, John Brown, and Bobby Brown.
She is survived by a Son William (Jennifer) Milligan of Chetopa, KS; 3 Granddaughters Justice and Trinity Milligan, also of Chetopa, KS, Lisa Milligan-Wall of Twin City, GA, and a Step Granddaughter Jessica Bushers, of Miami, OK; 1 Sister Diane Rauch of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Cremation will be observed with no additional services held by the family at this time. Inurnment will be performed at a later date. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in Annie's honor.
