Alma M. Overton

Alma M. Overton, age 90, of Keithtown, OH passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born December 23rd, 1920 in Paint Creek, WV a daughter of the late Jesse and Rose Estep Williams. Alma was an active member of the Keith United Methodist Church where she loved working with the youth group and children of the Church. She worked as a dental lab technician in Charleston, WV for many years. In her spare time, Alma enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She did all kinds of craft work and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an Infant Daughter, 3 Brothers Emery, Ralph and Larry Williams. She was loved and will be missed by her family: Husband William H. Overton of the home, whom she married March 29th, 1958; Son Alan (Irene) Dillon of Keithtown; Stepson William B. (Barbara) Overton of Strongsville, OH; Daughter Donna (JR) Lafferty of Seth, WV; Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren; 1 Sister Ethel (Bob) Cantley of Richmond, VA; 2 Brothers Kenneth (Fran) Williams of Chesterfield, VA and Phillip (Joan) Williams of Columbia, VA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Friday, January 14th, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Porter Officiating. Burial will follow in Keith Cemetery in Keithtown.
