Alice L. Ziler

Alice L. Michel Ziler age 70, of Caldwell, OH passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell. She was born August 28, 1947 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of the late William H. and Mary L. Ackley Michel.

She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. She was retired from the Noble County Clerk of Courts. She enjoyed volunteering at the Hospice of Guernsey Inc. She could often be found working in her rose bushes or her tomato plants. She was a wonderful grandmother and rarely did she miss a grandchilds activity attending everything from dance to all their sporting events.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth V. "Butch" Ziler whom she married August 9, 1969 and who passed on January 10, 2014; daughter Chrissy Ziler Mincks; 2 grandchildren Isaiah Daniel Nigh and Allison Elizabeth Nigh; son-in-law Nicholas M. Mincks; sister Mary Catherine Michel Lynch.

Those left to cherish her memory are Ann (Jeff) Bowen of Caldwell, Susan E. (Fianc J.J. Boroski) Ziler of New Philadelphia, OH, and Julie M. (Fianc Chris Oliver) Ziler of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren Dominic Mincks, Matt and Emily Bowen, Raegan McBride, Brayden, Cody, and Britanni Oliver, and Elly Boroski; 3 brothers Stephen H. Michel, Stanley (Cathy) Michel, and Danny J. Michel all of Caldwell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for Visitation Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Vigil Service to conclude Visitation at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1036 Belford St, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Caldwell.
