William S. "Bill" Parks

William S. “Bill” Parks age 69, of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home. He was born January 6, 1945 in Washington County, OH a son of the late Everett and Helen Bell Parks.

Bill was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church in Caldwell. He served on the board of Community Savings Bank and Summit Acres Skilled Nursing in Rehab both in Caldwell. He was the Olive Township Fiscal Officer for over 30 years. He opened William S. Parks CPA in 1976, where he worked until retirement in 2009. He enjoyed traveling and attending baseball games.

He is survived by his family, wife Teri A. McElfresh Parks, whom he married October 3, 1964; 2 sons Micah (Cynthia) Parks of Cincinnati, OH and Wesley Parks of Zanesville, OH; 2 daughters Shawna Parks of Cambridge, OH and Merrilee (Justin) Ward of Marietta, OH; 6 grandchildren Tyler, Sydney, Cody, Allie Ann, Lincoln and Logan; 1 sister Elizabeth (John) Rubrake of Lowell, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
