Norma (Carpenter) Morris

Norma Morris age 90, of Summerfield, OH passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. She was born March 27, 1928 in Batesville, OH a daughter of the late Alva and Mary Yost Carpenter.

She was a member of the Summerfield Church of Christ. She was a 4-H Advisor for many years. She formerly owned and operated a beauty salon in Summerfield. Along with her husband, Norma also enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Zelma (Milton) Huebener, Lenna (Alfred) Clauss, Olive (Ray) Maurer, Dorothy (Robert) Morris, Rodney (Erma) Carpenter, and Mary Lois (Bob) Suhr.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her husband McKinley Morris whom she married August 16, 1947; daughter Kay (Ed) Craig of New Albany, OH; granddaughter Mindy (Chris) Thomas of Johnstown, OH; great grandchildren McKinley and McKaden Thomas; siblings Bobby (Elaine) Carpenter of West Lafayette, OH, Herbert (Esther) Carpenter of Batesville, OH, Frank (Bessie) Carpenter of Caldwell; Max (Sharon) Carpenter of Senecaville, OH, and Connie (Marsha) Carpenter of Westerville, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, February 18, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Monday, February 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Jim Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield.
