Melba Ann Hupp age 82, of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday June 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. She was born December 15, 1936 in Noble County, OH a daughter of the late Francis and Emma Kuhn Dimmerling.
She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and the Catholics Women’s Club there. She was also a member of the Sunshine Club. She enjoyed spending time gardening, sewing, cooking, and doing word search puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Delores Hupp; 2 sons Dale and Daniel Hupp; sister Ruth Warner; brothers-in-law Tom Poland, Ronald and Vernon Hupp.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years Oliver A. Hupp whom she married October 12, 1957; 2 daughters Deborah (Walter) Warner and Diane (John) Russell all of Caldwell; 1 son David Hupp of Caldwell; grandchildren Zachary, Victoria, Christopher, Karista, Alivia, Gracie, and Dakota Hupp, Johnny Russell, Karen (Larry) Brooker, Jessie Short, and Nicole Curtin; great-grandchildren Rylan Russell, Chelsea Barrett, Chasidy Brooker, Bobby Brooker, and Taylor Curtin; sisters Jean (Larry) Lowe of Caldwell, Jane (Virgil) Thompson of Summerfield, Alice (Richard) Piatt of Lewisville, OH, and Marilyn Poland of Pleasant City, OH; 4 brothers Paul (Maureen) Dimmerling of Caldwell, Marvin (Darlene) Dimmerling of Summerfield, Bill Dimmerling of Carlisle, and Gary (Susie) Dimmerling of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law Barbara S. Hupp of Pleasant City, OH; sister-in-law Shirley Hupp of Caldwell; brother-in-law Bob Warner of Carlisle, OH. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Rosary concluding visitation at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1036 Belford Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
