Lois Ruth (Boettler) Kirchner Bowker

Lois Ruth Kirchner Bowker age 85, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at her home. She was born April 15, 1932 in New Jersey a daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Crankshaw Boettler.

She was a graduate of the Ohio University as an Art Major. She was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church and the former Amazon Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star in Caldwell. She was very active for many years in the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed gardening and being in the outdoors. She was also an avid reader and a member of the Literary Club in Caldwell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband John T. Kirchner who passed in 1981; her second husband Norman S. Bowker who passed in 2011; daughter-in-law Suzanne Kirchner, and a brother Jim Boettler.

Those left to cherish her memory are 2 daughters Roberta (Wayne Dailey) Kirchner of Virginia Beach, VA and Ruth (Ike) Hayes of Caldwell; 2 sons Taylor Kirchner and Charles (Tammy) Kirchner all of Caldwell; 3 grandchildren Patricia (Ty) Clift, Alex Hayes, and Audrey (Daun) Lutes; 2 great-grandchildren Kendall Greenwald and Asher Clift; step-grandson Vince Wineck; 1 step-son William S. (Kathy) Bowker of Florida; 2 step-daughters Linda Christine Bowker and Susan (Price) Webb all of Georgia; sister Esther (Elton) Hohman of Washington; sister-in-law Marsha Boettler of North Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed, with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
