Lloyd "Gomer" E. Morris

Lloyd E. “Gomer” Morris age 66, of Ava, OH passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. He was born April 17, 1951 in Canton, OH a son of the late Harold E. and Ida “Irene” Williams Morris.

Lloyd was a 1969 graduate of the Shenandoah High School and went on to attend the Ohio State University. He was a member of the Freedom Worship Chapel in Cambridge. He was an electrician by trade and owned and operated Lloyd's Electric for over 25 years. He always had a love for music, he could often be found sharing his gift by playing his guitar for others or singing karaoke. He enjoyed bowling, tinkering on anything mechanical and fixing things. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always helping others in any way he could, and his family continued this kindness by giving the gift of life through organ donation.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Angela (Jason) Anderson of Ava; 5 grandchildren Chrissy (Luke) Willison, Zachary (Natalie Moore) Anderson, Erica Anderson, Jordan (Marsha Brown) Anderson, and Casey Anderson; 4 great-grandchildren Austin Anderson, Arya King, Braxtyn Anderson, and Bexley Grace Anderson; siblings Diane Tolewitz of Barnesville, OH, Ron Morris of Louisiana, James (Marie) Morris of Batesville, OH, and Debbie (Joe) Vodila of Byesville, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. The funeral service will conclude visitation Monday, February 19, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Glass officiating. Cremation will follow, and inurnment will take place at a later date in Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, OH with his parents.
