Kenneth Lee Laipply age 40, of Quaker City, OH passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH as a result of an ATV accident. He was born October 16, 1978 in Zanesville, OH a son of Jeffrey N. Sr. and Carla V. Jennings Laipply of Summerfield, OH.
Ken was a 1997 graduate of Shenandoah High School. He had worked as a bridge painter since graduation. Most recently he was a member of the IUPAT Union #1275 in Columbus. He attended HarborSite Baptist Church in Marietta, OH. He was a beekeeper, enjoyed caring for his horses, hunting, and fishing. He saved 5 lives by donating 7 organs and benefited countless others through the gift of organ donation.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Julia Moore; aunt Stacey M. Laipply and cousin Tonya Lockhart.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his wife Michelle L. VanSickle Laipply whom he married February 12, 1999; 3 children Tristen (Cameron) Laipply of Belle Valley, OH, Taylor Laipply, and Aden Laipply both of Quaker City; maternal grandmother Shirley Jennings of Caldwell, OH; siblings Jeffrey N. (Tammy) Laipply Jr. of New York, Cristy (Jake) Clark of Cumberland, OH, and Amanda (Will) Baker of Summerfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lloyd (Laura) VanSickle of Mt. Gilead, OH; sister-in-law Bonnie (Jack) Shumaker of Traverse City, MI. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, January 12, 2019 from Noon to 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Saturday at 4:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Don Arbuckle officiating. Services will end at the funeral home. Following the service, family and friends are invited to the Summerfield Legion Hall for a meal and time of fellowship.
