James L. “Jimbo” Bauer age 65, of Marietta, OH formerly of Caldwell, OH passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Marietta. He was born December 17, 1952 in Marietta, a son of the late Fred and Ruth Wilda Moore Bauer.
Jim had retired as a superintendent for the former Central Ohio Coal Company. He was the owner and operator of the Riverside Bar also known as Jimbo’s on Front Street in Marietta. He always enjoyed golfing and was known as an excellent pool player.
Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter Angela (Jerry) Norman of Pleasant City, OH; a son James Bauer of Zanesville, OH; 4 grandchildren Grace Norman, Lilyann Norman, Mila Norman, and Luke Norman; 2 sisters Jane (Paul) Jones of Belle Valley, OH and Julie (Jack) Wheeler of Cumberland, OH; nieces and nephews Jason Jones, Valerie (Mike) Dimmerling, and Amanda Jones (Brian) Yurco. He is also survived by many friends and his family of Marietta College Students.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, March 19, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Cremation will follow, with inurnment held at a later date.
