Golden "Redcap" Sanders

Golden S. "Redcap" Sanders age 79, of Caldwell passed away peacefully on Friday March 28, 2014 . He was born March 27, 1935 in Branchland, WV the son of the late Levi and Verle McClellan Sanders.

Golden was a truck driver most of his life and was previously employed with Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of Teamsters Union # 24 and Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, bowling and dog races. He especially loved farming his land and taking care of the cattle.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Will Sanders and son-in-law Terry Arbogast.

 He was loved and will be missed by his family, his wife of 57 ½ years Janice F. Fulks Sanders, whom he married August 25, 1956; 3 daughters Goldie Sanders, Pam Arbogast, and Teresa Sanders; 2 sons Linnie Sanders and  David (Robin) Sanders; 10 grandchildren, Regina (Tyson) Schelle (Jeremy), Jana, Kara (Cameron), Keith, Emma, Lyndol Jr., Kyle, Kaydee, and  Marlin;1 great-granddaughter Hailey; 2 brothers Jack and Harold; 3 sisters Phyllis, Katie Sue, and Lois Jean, and his beloved dog Mindy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Tuesday April 1^st, 2014   from 5 to 8 PM and on Wednesday April 2, 2014 from noon till time of service at 1:00PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
