Gail Lynn (Stillions) Purvis

Gail Lynn Purvis age 66, of Cambridge, OH passed away Friday afternoon, May 11, 2018 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. She was born May 30, 1951 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of the late James W. “Bill” and Norma “Jeanne” McAninch Stillions.

She retired as a Registered Nurse from Southeastern Med in Cambridge following 28 years of service. She loved her horses, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She rarely missed a grandchild’s sporting event no matter how long the drive. She was also an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed her Kindle E-reader.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 1 sister Dana Stillions.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Lloyd V. Purvis Jr., whom she married April 19, 1969; 2 children Lloyd (Pam) Purvis III of Millersport, OH and Elizabeth (Brian) Purvis Archer of Cambridge; 7 grandchildren Sydney, Olivia, Zane, Carter, and Mason Purvis, Boston and Brantley Archer; 1 great-grandchild Kylie Purvis; close friend and relative Dorothy (Porter) Warne of Cambridge; nephew Eric (Teresa) Harshbarger of New Concord, OH.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Memorial Service will conclude visitation Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Kathy McClure officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with inurnment to be held at a later date.
