Don K. Millhone age 65 of Pleasant City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home. He was born January 19, 1953 in Zanesville, Ohio a son of the late John Enoch and Donna Reed Millhone formerly of Cumberland, OH.
He was a 1972 graduate of the Meadowbrook High School. Don worked for Monroe Grading for 15 years, the Laborers' Local #530 for 10 years, and currently was an Operator’s Stewart for Local #18. Don had a larger than life personality and never met a stranger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years Phyllis Norman Millhone, whom he married August 12, 1972; 2 children Julie Poland (Greg) Schafer and John Enoch Millhone all of Pleasant City; 4 granddaughters Alyssa (Trevor) Markley of Cambridge, OH, Alexis, Amy, and Avery Poland of Byesville, OH; the father of his granddaughters, whom he loved deeply Jeffrey Poland of Byesville; 1 great-grandson Beckham Allen Markley. Beckham and his grandchildren were his whole world. In his free time he attended all of his granddaughters sporting events. He loved his family. He is also survived by 1 sister Nancy (Jeff) Tellep; 3 brothers Max, Rex, and Bert Millhone all of Cumberland; several nieces, nephews, and friends, including 3 special nephews with whom he spent a lot of time Ermine Millhone, Levi Huhn, and Patrick Youel.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Buffalo-Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 302 West Main St, Cumberland, OH 43732, where a memorial service will conclude visitation at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jim Gibson officiating. Services will conclude at the church with a meal to follow. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buffalo-Cumberland Presbyterian Church in memory of Don Millhone.
