Argyll E. Leasure Jr. age 77, of Senecaville, OH passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 4, 1942 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Argyll E. Sr. and Ruby Shafer Leasure.
He served and protected his nation in the US Army. He was retired from the former DANA Corporation Manufacturing Plant in Caldwell. He was a member of Olive Lodge #210 F. & A.M. in Mt. Ephraim and the Old Iron Power Club. For many years he enjoyed restoring old classic cars, but most recently he enjoyed restoring Farmall Cub Tractors and showing them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine “Jerri” Marshall Leasure, whom he married July 28, 1990 and who passed September 2, 2014.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Bryan (Teresa) Leasure of Carlisle, OH; 2 step-daughters Kris (Alan) Wigant of Sumter, SC and Kathy (Sam) Schafer of Sarahsville, OH; grandchildren Ryan (Sonya) Leasure and Janis Leasure; step-grandchildren Tori (Stephen) Thompson, Tyler (Kenzi) Schafer, Danny (Kerry) Wigant, Toni (Andy) Wigant, and Nick Wigant; great-grandchildren Rylan, Lucas, Kylee, and Ellie; step-great-grandchildren Lyla Thompson, Karis Thompson, Emri Schafer, and Nora Wigant; 2 sisters Roma Jean Wharton and Agatha Schell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Masonic Services observed at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kris Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, OH, with military graveside honors conducted by Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
