Life Legacy


Ethel A. Weisend age 76 of Carlisle, formerly of Newark, OH passed away Friday January 15th, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. She was born February 19, 1933 in Noble County, Ohio a daughter of the late M.Z. and Grace Warner Kirkbride.

Ethel had resided at the Summit Acres Nursing and Rehab for the last two years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Summerfield, OH and also attended the Church of Christ in Newark. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends as well as crocheting and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her First Husband Ed Feldner who passed away March 22, 1967, Second Husband Francis Weisend who passed away January 7, 1990 and Stepdaughter Darlene Kilburn.

Surviving are 3 Sons Dale (Kay) Feldner of Carlisle, Melvyn Feldner (Chris Hill) of Carlisle and Mark (Angie) Feldner of Caldwell; Daughter Alice (Doug) Bond of Carlisle; Stepchildren Duane (Judy) Weisend of Summerfield and Diann Jennings of New Carlisle, OH; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Brother Donnie (Linda) Kirkbride of Whipple, OH; 2 Sisters Lela (Bernard) Hill and Donna (Larry) Mallett all of Summerfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Monday, January 18, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11: 00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Love Officiating. Burial will follow in Crum Ridge Cemetery.
