Brenda Lee (Hughes) Williams

Brenda Lee Williams age 66, of Pleasant City, OH passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville, OH. She was born March 13, 1957 in Cambridge, OH a daughter of the late Vernon R. Sr. and Luetta Miracle Hughes.

She was a 1975 graduate of Caldwell High School and the Guernsey-Noble Vocational School. Brenda enjoyed crafting, shopping, baking, drinking coffee, and taking care of her animals. She cared for her community through her in home daycare, drove school bus, and was an aid for the Guernsey County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Larry Dean Hughes, Betty Kerr, Shirley Miller, and Vernon Ray Hughes Jr.; niece Shari Hughes-Bakhtiari; special nephew Bob Geese.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her husband Thomas “Tom” Ray Williams, whom she married February 21, 1976 and with whom she just celebrated 48 years of marriage; four children Shannon (Victor Moreno) Williams of San Francisco, CA, Matt (Karri) Williams of Cambridge, Tyler (Marianne) Williams of Riley, KS, and Cassie (Isaac Hook) Williams of Pleasant City, OH; grandchildren Anthony, Collin, and Isabella; sister-in-law Dorothy Hughes of Cambridge; special niece Tammy Geese of Byesville, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s Life will conclude visitation Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Brenda’s Honor to the Humane Society of Guernsey Co., P.O. Box 422, Cambridge, OH 43725.
