Phillip L. Norman

Phillip L. Norman, age 60 of Byesville, OH passed away peacefully Saturday, August 6, 2016 surrounded by his sisters at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. He was born July 18, 1956 in Cambridge, OH a son of Don(Doris) Norman of Pleasant City, OH and the late Phyllis McCreary Norman.

He enjoyed outdoor barbeques, visiting with friends, and helping others. He loved family gatherings, especially family reunions and Sunday dinners. His dog “King” was his faithful companion. He was a graduate of Meadowbrook High School.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory are five sisters, Donna Ours of Newark, Rita Youel of Byesville, Phyllis (Don) Millhone of Pleasant City, Betty “Beeg” (Wayne) Kolbe of Cumberland, and Nancy Wallace of Upper Arlington; two brothers Donald (Wendy) Norman of Texas and Derek (Ellen) Norman of Virginia; 17 nieces and nephews Mark Ours, Patrick Youel, Julie Poland, John Millhone, Ermine Millhone, Levi Huhn, Lauren, Joe, and Madeline Wallace, Brandon, Brian, Courtney, Trey, Carter, and Trent Norman, Josh and Natasha Norman. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, many extended family, friends, and neighbors.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. Services will conclude at the end of visitation and inurnment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville at the convenience of the family.
