Leonard "Lenny" F. Miller

December 17, 1942 ~ May 29, 2015 (age 72) 72 Years Old


Leonard F. “Lenny” Miller, age 72 of Cumberland, Ohio passed away Friday May 29, 2015 at his home under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. He was born December 17, 1942 in Patton, Pennsylvania a son of the late Walter and Emma Cunningham Miller. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 infant children; 2 brothers David and Gary Miller; 1 sister Janet Ghuste. 

He will always be lovingly remembered by, his Fiancée Jodie Lynn Cordell; 2 sons Leonard Mille Jr. and Michael Miller both of Parma, OH; 1 daughter Holly Selby of Tampa, FL; 3 brothers Alvin “Jake” Miller, Kenneth “Lil Dab” Miller, and Patrick Miller all of Patton, PA; 2 sisters Pamela (Dr. Ben) Jones of Flint, PA and Margie Fox-Gibson of Masontown, PA; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Lenny was an avid hunter and loved to encourage young people in the sport. He rebuilt many antique cars into beautiful hot rods. One of his favorite activities was to call for a party in the garage, where everyone would play music, drink, and view pictures on the TV of all his activities with his friends and family. Many a good time was had with Lenny just hanging on the back of a pickup truck. He loved to tell stories and jokes. 

He worked in Cleveland at different trades including roofing, auto trim, glass and upholstering. He retired from Blair Upholstery in Cambridge, OH. He owned and operated rentals in Cambridge for several years. He was a jack of all trades and willing to share his knowledge. Lenny was always willing to help anyone, whether it be in the hayfields, on a friend’s home or car. There was usually some snack or piece of candy in his pocket which he would gladly share. 

In his later years, he enjoyed traveling with Jodie to see the ocean, the mountains and the plains. He loved his little companion Jack Russell “Squirt.” He fought a courageous battle with cancer for 10 months. Lenny was a member of the Noble County Cruzers, Caldwell Eagles #2952, Patton VFW Post #779, Patton American Legion #614, and the Patton Slovak Citizens Club. 

Cremation will be observed, with no additional services held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the home of Jodie Lynn Cordell in Cumberland, Ohio. If, by chance you wish to remember Lenny, do it with a kind deed or a word to someone who needs you.
