Jimmy Oliver Jr.

James W. “Jimmy” Oliver Jr., age 54 of Summerfield, OH went to be with the Lord Friday July 5, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born October 10, 1958 in Detroit, MI a son of James and Irene Oliver Sr. of Summerfield.

Jimmy was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ of Caldwell. He was a 1976 Graduate of the Shenandoah High School and was employed at International Converter Inc. in Caldwell for 28 years. He enjoyed trail riding, farming, attending livestock sales and riding his ATV. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with good friends and his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother John T. Oliver; brother-in-law Kyle Walters; maternal grandparents Joseph and Madeline Kopitz and paternal grandparents Wilbur and Mary Oliver.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Jane Walters Oliver of the home, whom he married May 1, 1992; 2 daughters Trina (Justin) Moore of Caldwell and Jessie Oliver Chapman and Ryan Smith of New Concord, OH; 1 son Clinton Oliver of the home; 4 grandchildren Caileigh and Caden Moore, Riley and Cale Bender; 1 brother Kenny (Lisa) Oliver of Summerfield; 1 sister Brenda (Jake) Ramsey of Summerfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and 5 beloved dogs.

Friends will be received Monday, July 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Services will conclude at the Church, with inurnment to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Guernsey Inc., P.O. Box #1165, Cambridge, OH 43725 or the charity of your choice to benefit animals.
