James W. Langston

James W. Langston age 84 of Caldwell, OH passed away Thursday April 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1929 in Miami, FL a son of the late Burl and Bertie Dempsey Langston.

Jim was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country during WWII. He retired from University Circle in Cleveland in 1993. He was very active in Noble County, serving many hours with the Noble County Historical Society, Soakum Festival, local tourism and many others. He spent a lot of  time as a photographer for many of those organizations. He also was very involved with the Ripples Cancer Support Group.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Rita St. Onge Langston, who passed in 1993.

He leaves behind his family, 3 siblings Robert (Edith) Langston and Geri Townsend all of Georgia and Jeanette (Bill) Waterson of Caldwell; a very special friend Sarah ”Sally” Hough. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation will be observed at this time, without additional services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
