Gary L. Davis

Gary Davis, age 77, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. He was born August 7, 1938 in Noble County, Ohio a son of the late Harry B. “Ben” and Mary I. Johnson Davis.

Gary was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post 641, Caldwell VFW Post 4721, Fraternal Order of Eagles 2952, and the Olive Lodge #210 F & A.M. in Mt. Ephraim, Ohio. He retired from the former MAHLE Manufacturing Plant located in Caldwell with over 35 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed golfing. He served his nation in the Ohio National Guard as a 2^nd Lieutenant and was a Free Methodist by Faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters Marilyn M. Bond and J. Kathy Sherman; two beloved pets Heidi and Inky.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Evelyn J. Christopher Davis, whom he married March 12, 1958; brothers-in-law Al (Linda) Christopher and William (Peg) Christopher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation will be observed, with no additional funeral services held at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
