Dr. Thomas N. Tarleton age 79 of Caldwell, OH – formerly of Marysville, OH and Johnsville, OH went home to the Lord Jesus his Savior and Redeemer on Friday, March 27, 2015, at his home.  He was born March 10, 1936 in Zanesville, OH to the late Earl and Agnes Butler Tarleton.  He was married to Dr. Ruth A. Smith Cover – Tarleton on March 10, 1993. 

He was a graduate of Marysville High School and the International Chiropractic College in Dayton OH. He was a practicing Chiropractic Physician for 49 years, having practiced in Springfield, Marysville and Johnsville. He was an intern at Spears Chiropractic Hospital in Denver, CO.  He was a western square dance caller for 25 years all over the state of Ohio.  He was an active member in Masonry, he was a member of Palestine Lodge #158 F. & A.M. in Marysville, Olive Lodge #210 in Mt. Ephraim, and Sharon Lodge #136 in Sharon – where he was a Past Master of all 3.  He was also active in the Chester Lodge #238 in Chesterville.  He was honored with the P. Dean Gerber Award of Distinction by the Grand Lodge of Ohio for outstanding service in spite of his disability of total blindness since 1995.  He did Biblical Dramatic Ministry – One Man Monologue Plays – he will be especially remembered for the Roman Centurion.   He loved traveling with his wife and grandchildren.  He visited Alaska twice, Israel, Egypt, England, Greece, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Germany, France, but especially enjoyed traveling out West. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James Tarleton, and step-daughter Jeanie O’Roark Plunkett. 

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are, step-daughters Virginia (Roger) Zinkhon of Portsmouth, OH, Jane (Cliff) Brooks of Marysville, Jacqueline Morrison of Obetz, OH, Tonya (Todd) Reed of Oregon, OH; grandchildren James Zinkhon, Rebekah (Michael) Burton, Kelly (Cory) Martin, Brandi Craft, Lisa Cody, Chad (Lyndsay) Beverly, Jessica (Brian) Matthes, Katie Morrison, Jaris Morrison, Samuel Morrison, Darren Reed, and Matthew Reed; great-grandchildren Esther Burton, Ezekial Burton, Landon Beverly, Mjay Beverly, Quianton Matthes, and Callie Rae Matthes; sister-in-law Linda Tarleton of Glen Burnie, MD; nephew Charles Tarleton of Washington DC. He is also survived by many friends. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, 2015, 2:00 to 9:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West St., Caldwell OH 43724, with a Masonic Service conducted at 8:30pm.  A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main St., Caldwell, OH 43724, with Pastor Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville at 4:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Guernsey, Noble and Western Belmont Counties, PO Box #1165, Cambridge, OH 43725 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
